What LinkRoost Does

LinkRoost is a Chrome extension that automatically categorizes your bookmarks using AI, finds dead links, detects duplicates, and provides smart search.

What Data We Collect

• Bookmark URLs and titles — sent to our server for AI categorization and dead link checking.
• Email address — only if you provide one. Optional.
• Payment information — processed entirely by Stripe. We never see your card number.

What We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect your browsing history.
• We do not track which websites you visit beyond your bookmarks.
• We do not collect passwords or personal data from bookmarked pages.
• We do not use cookies or tracking scripts.

How We Use Your Data

• Categorize bookmarks using AI (URL and title are sent to our AI provider).
• Check bookmark URLs for dead links.
• Detect duplicate bookmarks.
• Enable search across your bookmarks.
• Process subscription payments via Stripe.

AI Processing

Bookmark URLs and titles are sent to our AI service (Moonshot AI / Kimi) for categorization. Only the URL and title are sent — no page content, passwords, or personal data. The AI response (category name) is stored on our server.

Data Storage

Data is stored on our servers in the United States in an encrypted database. Error logs are retained for 30 days.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third parties except Stripe for payment processing and Moonshot AI for bookmark categorization.

Data Deletion

You can delete bookmarks through the extension at any time. For full account deletion, contact us.
